Welcome! I’m Jackie, and I’m truly passionate about guiding individuals on their path toward positive growth and change. As a licensed registered professional counsellor in Kelowna, BC, CANADA, I help people understand their brain, emotions, and relationship connections. It can be difficult to access mental health resources, there are obstacles like cost, stigma, not knowing where to look, and lack of finding the right fit. I make mental health practical tools accessible through individual counselling, youtube videos, membership groups, and speaking engagements throughout my community.
My approach offers practical tools that we collaboratively explore in sessions and workshops. Together, we empower individuals to reshape their relationships with their inner selves. By delving into the intricate interplay between the mind and the brain, we unlock the potential for stronger, more fulfilling relationships. Individual Counselling
Talk therapy is where 2 people sit down together and work through a challenge in a personalized, supportive environment of growth. This supports people to realize changes that need to be made to move forward in their journey. With a collaborative approach, we can create an open environment to be curious about each individual situation. Taking a solution-centered approach with an emphasis on teaching skills to help people find confidence, acceptance, and awareness in their journeys.
I also incorporate Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Internal Family Systems Therapy, Polyvagal Theory, and Mindsight Institute Interpersonal Neurobiology philosophy in my work. I am here to support you through your process.
Workshops
The goal of workshops is to inform individuals to explore compassion in a sense of self and improve communication skills within work attunement and personal relationships. I host a variety of topics that center around managing anxiety, and discomfort, understanding loss, wellness practices, effective communication, stress and so much more!
Groups
Social connection gives us a sense of C.A.L.M. It has been found to lower anxiety and depressive symptoms, help us regulate our emotions, lead to higher self-esteem and empathy, and actually improve our immune system. It is vital to belong to a community where connections are created, discussions are cultivated, and new ways of learning nourish the soul and make it possible for new perspectives as well as offering your values in supporting individuals as well.
My Story
Drawing from my own experiences moving through grief, anxiety, and stress, I’ve come to realize that life is an ongoing journey of growth. Just as I’ve committed myself to navigating life’s challenges, I’m dedicated to supporting like-minded individuals on their own transformative journeys. Through my personal exploration, I’ve cultivated a deep connection with my inner self and a meaningful bond with both my local community and a global network. This connection fuels my unwavering determination and hope as I continue progressing on my own path. My ultimate purpose is to share the invaluable lessons I’ve gained with those in my circle, enabling them to embrace their purpose and passion.
